LASIK stands for Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis, a procedure that uses lasers to reshape the cornea and correct vision. During the process, the surgeon firstly uses a femtosecond laser to create a corneal flap. After lifting the flap, an excimer laser is used to reshape the cornea, and the flap is then repositioned to correct the vision.
